Take full advantage of your NuVo Grand Concerto I8G or Essentia EG6 whole-home audio system by adding the NuVo Music Port. The Music Port allows you to use your personal computer audio content as one collective library. Utilizing NuVoNet connectivity you can navigate and control your system from any Grand Concerto or Essentia Control Pad. With the included Music Port Software, a user-friendly interface allows you to control your system from any PC or touch screen. Access music downloads, ripped files, and podcasts stored on your PC in any format (including protected files). It even merges the files on your iTunes, Windows Media Player or any other media player into one easy to manage collection. Browse by playlist, track, artist, album, genre, or favorites, and view album artwork via the software interface. The Music port turns a dedicated host PC into a music server with up to six sources of music running simultaneously. If you are using a network of PCs, you can sync all of your music files to access a single large collection. Whether you are using a Control Pad from a Grand Concerto or Essentia music system, or any connected network PC, you can change the music in your kitchen while you're barbecuing on the deck or change the volume level out on the deck while you sit in your home office. Music Port takes all of your music, organizes it, and places it right at your fingertips to manage anywhere and any way you see fit.

    • Home Media Pros Notes: This product can stream up to 6 zones from one PC. But you would need to have an apropriate sound card and pretty much dedicate that computer for this purpose.  On average computer with Sound Blaster or buiit in card you can handle 3 zones if you have 5.1 sound card and 1 zone if you have just one headphone/line out. Also you will need a Serial Port or USB to Serial setup on your PC in order to take full adwantage of this product. We recomend to use our certified installer when trying to integrate this to your system.

    Music Port delivers two primary functions. The first is to transform a host PC into a full-fledged multi-output source for a NuVo system. The second primary function of the Music Port is to enable any desktop PC, laptop PC, or portable table PC that is connected to the home network to serve as a controller for a NuVo distributed audio system, much like the NuVo OLED Control Pads already do. Through the Music Port Client, the user can browse their music library with full album art and control their home's music from anywhere in the home via hard-wired or wireless devices.
